Setting up a company in Qatar without travelling: how it works

By Chambre Francophone · 05 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

You have a project in Qatar but cannot spend several weeks in Doha. Good news: the company can be set up from abroad. Here is how.

The principle: a power of attorney

Some documents in the file, such as the tax registration form, must be signed by the founder. There are two ways: sign in person in Qatar, or give a power of attorney to our team, who then sign and file in your name. The power of attorney is what makes a remote setup possible.

Documents to prepare

Our starting list is short:

  • a passport valid for at least six more months;
  • a photo on a white background;
  • a police clearance certificate;
  • a CV, optional;
  • case by case, additional documents.

If the shareholder is your existing company, you also need its certificate of incorporation, its articles and a board resolution approving the setup.

Documents are sent online, in your client space. They are then attested and translated into Arabic.

What we do in Doha

The work with the ministries is done by our team on the ground:

  • confirming the activity and the framework (mainland, Qatar Financial Centre or free zone);
  • filing with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry;
  • obtaining the Commercial Registration;
  • Chamber of Commerce membership and tax registration;
  • support with opening the bank account.

Follow your file from your phone

Each stage shows in your client space: what is done, what is in progress, what we need from you. You do not have to chase anyone to know where your company stands.

Will you have to come one day?

The setup itself can be done remotely. Some later steps, such as your own residence permit or certain bank formalities, may require you in person. We tell you case by case during the first call, so that you can group them in a single trip.

The company is ready in less than one month, from 4,999 EUR. Details are in our article on cost.

Talk to us about your project

Every activity has its own rules. In a 30-minute introductory call you tell us about your project and we tell you whether we can help and what the next steps are. Book a call or see how we register companies in Qatar.
